Gebruik: Benzoe wordt vooral gebruikt in massage- en badolies ter verzorging van de luchtwegen en de huid. Toegevoegd aan een synergie werkt benzoe als een fixatief: deze olie vertraagt de verdampingssnelheid van andere etherische olies. Benzoe is opwekkend bij moedeloosheid en helpt oude trauma's te verwerken.
Weetjes: Benzoehars, is een product dat bij een "gezonde" boom niet voorkomt. De bast wordt ingesneden en het wondvocht kristalliseert uit tot het hars. Er bestaan 2 types, die zeer sterk op elkaar lijken: de "Sumatra"-benzoe uit de Styrax benzoe en de "Siam"-benzoe uit de Styrax tonkinensis.
Opgelet: Bij normaal gebruik worden geen nevenwerkingen verwacht.
